League Connections 101

Connecting a league brings your roster, matchup, standings and scoreboard into LeagueMind so the fantasy tools can work from your real team. It is read-only: your lineup stays on the host where you set it.

Supported hosts

Pick the host your league is on. Each one connects differently:

Sleeper
Enter your Sleeper username and pick the season. LeagueMind lists the leagues it finds, and you choose one.
ESPN
Paste the league URL or ID and choose your team from the list. A private league also needs the ESPN cookies saved once in Settings.
Yahoo
Connect your Yahoo account on Yahoo's own sign-in page, then choose Find my leagues and pick your team.
Manual roster
No host at all. You build the roster yourself and edit it from the team header.

Connections are read-only. LeagueMind never moves a player or submits a lineup on the host.

Watch out: a host only appears in the picker when it is switched on, so you may see fewer cards than the list above. A manual roster never syncs from a host.
Example

You play in a Sleeper league and an ESPN league. Each one is a separate connection, so together they use 2 of your team slots. A free account has 1, so the second needs Pro.

The short version: Sleeper, ESPN and Yahoo bring in a real league. A manual roster is there when you don't want to connect a host.

Connect a league

  • Open My Team. Go to My Team and, with no team yet, choose a host in Connect your league. With teams already connected, use the league switcher's Connect a league or Manage in the team header.
  • Find your league. Sleeper takes your username, ESPN takes a league URL or ID, Yahoo takes you through its own sign-in. The season starts on the current fantasy season and you can change it.
  • Choose your team. Pick yours from the list.
  • Connect and sync. The button reads Connect + first sync. When it finishes, your roster is in My Team.

A free account includes one connected team and Pro includes up to five. A manual roster uses a slot like any other team. Teams you are invited to through a league invitation are shared with you and don't count toward the limit.

Watch out: connecting the same league again, or a newer season of a league you already connected, updates that connection instead of using another slot. Pressing connect on a league you just linked can also be asked to wait about a minute.
Example

A Pro account with 5 teams connected tries to add a sixth and is told it has reached the five-team connection limit. A free account with 1 team is told Free includes one connected team and pointed to Pro. Remove a team from Manage, or upgrade, and the connection goes through.

The short version: pick a host, find your team, then connect and run the first sync. Free includes one team, Pro up to five.

Switch leagues

The league switcher sits in the Fantasy bar. It lists every league you have connected with its name, your team, your record and standing, and marks the selected one. Picking another league closes the menu and re-scopes the tab you are on. On a phone the menu opens as a bottom sheet.

Manage, in the team header, shows how many slots you use, lets you rename a team, and removes one. Removing a team deletes its imported snapshots; saved Start/Sit and Trade receipts stay in your account.

Watch out: if you drop from Pro to free, nothing is deleted. Your newest team stays active and the others turn view-only, with a banner saying so. They stay viewable but stop syncing until you remove a team or upgrade.
Example

You have 3 teams connected. Open the switcher, pick your second league, and the tab you are on, such as Matchup or Standings, shows that league. The menu lists each league with your team, record and place, and a Connect a league link at the bottom.

The short version: the league switcher in the Fantasy bar changes the league for the tab you're on; Manage renames or removes a team.

Next: What syncs →

What syncs

Each connection brings in your roster, the week's matchup, the league standings and the scoreboard, and the rest of the fantasy tools read from it. Start/Sit, trade checks and waivers all work from the team you connected.

  • Sync from the team header. The Sync button refreshes that team on demand. For a team you were invited to, it reads Refresh shared data.
  • A view-only team doesn't sync. It shows the last data LeagueMind had.
  • Lineups stay on the host. LeagueMind plans and compares; you set the lineup on Sleeper, ESPN or Yahoo.
Watch out: if the first sync can't finish, the team is still saved and says the first sync needs attention. If a Yahoo approval lapses, use Reconnect Yahoo and sync again.
Example

You connect your league and your roster appears in My Team with its Matchup, Standings and Scoreboard tabs. You press Sync a minute later and are asked to wait: a manual sync can run about once every 60 seconds per team.

The short version: LeagueMind reads your team from the host and never changes your lineup there.
